KUSHTIA, BANGLADESH – Welcome to Kushtia and tonight weโre going out for more street food, but specifically to see the entire process of an ancient local candy making technique, then weโll drink some tea and eat some more delicious street food.
We first headed to the local candy factory where they still make this famous candy from Kushtia fully by hand and power. The sugar is boiled into liquid then stretched with a dairy product and then stretched some more until itโs paper thin and hollow on the inside. The candy is then sprinkled with sesame seeds and then chopped into portions. Itโs one of the coolest candy making processes Iโve ever seen.
